ICF “MANUS DEI” handed over the device “Bair Hugger 775” for heating of patients during operation to the surgical department of the children’s clinical hospital №1.

Today, the “MANUS DEI” Charitable Foundation completed another project by visiting the Children’s Clinical Hospital №1 again (30 Bogatyrskaya Street, Kyiv).

Last winter, a team led by Andrei Dotsenko handed over a portable ultrasound machine to specialists, this time the surgical department received a modern Bair Hugger 775 device from the foundation to heat patients during the operation.

The main function of this medical equipment is to minimize the risk of complications associated with hypothermia (by reducing of body temperature below the required 36.6 degrees).

According to experts, even moderate hypothermia causes serious complications and significantly slows down the recovery process, adversely affecting human health. Infections, long recovery after anesthesia, staying longer in the hospital , as well as an increased risk of myocardial infarction – all this is associated with the development of hypothermia.

The project in the children’s clinical hospital № 1 was successfully completed: the equipment was tested, approved by doctors, all the necessary documents on its transfer to the balance of the medical institution were drawn up.
