ICF “MANUS DEI” will create a Montessori room in Fastov – it will help the social adaptation of children with autistic disorders and disorders of the musculoskeletal system.

The “Fastov Training and Rehabilitation Center” started its work in 2016, and today
is one of the leading centers in the region for the rehabilitation of children, and shows excellent results. Children are brought here not only from Fastiv, but from neighboring villages and towns.

Now the center works with hundreds of children from two to eight years old, high-level specialists such as special education teachers, nurses, masseur, psychologist,
rehabilitologist help to improve their condition and adapt to normal life as much as possible.

The management of the center makes a lot of efforts to ensure that young children receive the most modern types of rehabilitation, including art therapy, occupational therapy, hippotherapy and kinesiotherapy, and have a heart for each of their wards. The idea to create a “Montessori room” with modern equipment arose a long time ago, but for some time the center was looking for caring people who would be willing to financially support the project.

When the MANUS DEI team, and the chairman of the fund, Andrei Dotsenko, visited Fastov, and the director of the center Alla Koval hospitably conducted an excursion, with sincere pride shared the achievements and victories of her pupils, demonstrated cozy rooms and special equipment that the educators made with their own hands, they immediately decided to join to the creation of the “Montessori room”.

“During the period of the foundation’s activity, we have seen many rehabilitation institutions, but it was the Fastov training and rehabilitation center that impressed us with some kind of homely atmosphere and comfort, a complete absence of anything associated with the word“ formally ”. It is immediately evident that the people who work here make great efforts to ensure that special children receive the maximum skills in order to live a full-fledged social life. We will be happy that this time the foundation will join not only the reconstruction, but also acquire the necessary equipment for such children and make the dream of many teachers and parents come true” commented on the results of the meeting with the leaders of the center and its specialists, the chairman of ICF “MANUS DEI” Andrey Dotsenko.

The “Montessori room” project will consist of two stages: the overhaul of the premises and the purchase of the necessary equipment.

The first stage has already started: the ceiling and walls here will be made of plasterboard, the workers will insulate the walls, completely renew the lighting system, replace the sewage and ventilation system and install electric radiators.. The estimated cost of the first part of the project is 180,000 hryvnia.
