Medical equipment for Khmelnytsky Children’s City Hospital.
We have great news again! After the auction for Khmelnytsky Children’s City Hospital, the foundation’s team raised the necessary funds for the purchase of medical equipment: a resuscitation table for newborns and other components for medical devices. We are glad that we managed to buy the equipment in a short time and officially hand it over to the hospital.
Khmelnytsky Children’s Hospital treats about 11,000 children a year. There are 10 departments, 8 of which are regional. The hospital is designed for a total of 360 inpatients. The neonatal intensive care unit is the busiest. It requires both highly qualified specialists and high-quality medical equipment.
Few people know that newborns, compared to an adult, have four times more heat loss. According to clinical studies, premature babies lose one to two degrees of their body temperature during the first 30 minutes of life. In order to reduce the level of hypothermia, doctors use resuscitation tables with thermal radiation that creates a vital environment for the baby.
“I thank the team of the Manus Dei Foundation for their caring attitude, willingness to come to the aid and support not only of our hospital, but of all medicine in general” – said the chief physician.
The director of the fund Andriy Parkhomenko said that the work continues. The next stop is Poltava region, Khorol district hospital, which will be equipped with a modern high-frequency welding electrocoagulator, as well as a modern portable X-ray system!
