ICF “MANUS DEI” will transfer the device “Bair Hugger 775” for heating clients during the operation to the children’s clinical hospital №1 (Kiev)
This week, the team of the “MANUS DEI” Charitable Foundation will visit Children’s Clinical Hospital № 1 (Kyiv, Bohatyrska St., 30) and on Wednesday, December 5, will hand over a modern Bair Hugger 775 device designed to heat patients during the operation.
The device is used to prevent unintentional hypothermia and related complications. Also ensures effective maintenance of normothermia before, during and after surgery.
Hypothermia – a decrease in the patient’s body temperature below 36 ° C during the preoperative period and in the postoperative period – is dangerous, and its occurrence, according to experts, is extremely dangerous for the patient.
Even moderate hypothermia causes serious complications and significantly slows down the recovery process, which has a negative effect on health. Infections, the length of recovery after anesthesia, staying longer in the hospital, and an increased risk of myocardial infarction and death are all associated with the development of hypothermia.
