ICF “MANUS DEI” handed over a resuscitation table for newborns to Ternopil City Hospital #2

The team of the “Manus Dei” Charitable Foundation visited the municipal city hospital №2 in Ternopil region.

This is a multidisciplinary hospital with 17 departments. The medical institution provides services from the birth of the baby to cardiac surgery. Of course, there is a lack of funding. There is a great need in all departments, but most of all for the babies of the neonatal department of this hospital, because premature babies are in dire need of the necessary conditions and environment for recovery.

The necessary conditions are created by special medical equipment called resuscitation systems for newborns. This is a necessary thing in every neonatal intensive care unit, thanks to such equipment the child is in the necessary conditions for treatment, due to which it adapts faster to the environment. We see the shortage of medical equipment with our own eyes every day and we are very sympathetic to those families whose children are in a difficult situations. Premature babies do not understand that there is no equipment, that there is no funding.

Therefore, our team strives for better conditions for children in need of medical care and transfers a resuscitation table to the the neonatal department, which will help plenty of children to take the most important first step – to get on their feet!
