ICF “Manus Dei” handed over a modern ultrasound machine to the center of primary health care in Podolsk.

The team of the Manus Dei Charitable Foundation visited the primary health care center in Podilsk, Odessa region.

The medical institution serves 26,000 people from 60 nearby settlements. One of the main problems of the medical center was the lack of an ultrasound machine. To make a diagnosis, doctors are forced to refer patients to the district hospital, which is not close.

The distance between the hospital and some settlements reaches 35 kilometers.

In addition to that, to obtain treatment recommendations based on the results, it was necessary to go back to the same doctor. This route significantly slowed down the diagnosis and negatively affected the treatment process.

Seeing the need to help the PHC center in Podolsk, the “Manus Dei” Foundation purchased and handed over a modern expert-class ultrasound machine to the medical institution.

From now on, the diagnosis process will become more accessible to local residents, and the diagnosis will be accurate and fast.

The People’s Deputy of Ukraine Oleksiy Honcharenko, who was present at the transfer of equipment, noted that such equipment is not available in any of the state institutions throughout the Odesa region.
